« on: September 14, 2009, 10:17:43 PM »
Hello all,  I need help.  When I run spf the router seems to update fine, but when I test the port 10113 for utorrent I keep getting the above error.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I should add that I disabled my win firewall, and the router firewall has an spi setting and then these settings...

    Endpoint Independent

UDP Endpoint Filtering: Address Restricted

  Port And Address Restricted

  Endpoint Independent

TCP Endpoint Filtering: Address Restricted

  Port And Address Restricted

My problem seems to be like the other d-link u recently helped Shane.  Firmware issue perhaps?

What is the ip you log into your router with? IM getting a few people now who say it says 0 routers detected. The tool does a trace router to google and looks at the IP's and counts any IP that is a local address. So I am curious to why yours is saying 0 as well. can you do a "tracert www.google.com" and tell me the first few results?

Your firewall settings in the router I believe should be like this ( I cant remember off the top of my head, to many routers in my brain lol)

And of course last but not least make sure to give this a read

Thanks!

Now you see the first line of that trace router? points to a 10.205.120.1
But your router is 192.168.0.1, which for me here at home shows up as the first one.

like mine here

Tracing route to google.navigation.opendns.com [208.67.219.230]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1    <1 ms    <1 ms    <1 ms  192.168.1.1

Since your router is your first point it should show up. But for some reason it isn't. To bad you don't have a 2nd router. I would love to see what a trace router would show if you had 2 routers connected.

I know I could just easily have the program say if 0 is found then that must mean the user has 1. But the problem with that is what if a person isn't behind a router? it wouldn't be right.

hhmm I have to brain storm on this one lol

Now back to the port forwarding not working. Did you confirm the router has the rule? (I know these questions are on the help file but I need to know)
Does the rule point to your computers IP? Did you add the ports to the windows firewall? Also big thing I have seen from some ISP's, they like to put people behind a proxy to keep them from doing p2p very well. So log into your router, find its internet IP address, does it match the IP that shows up on the port tester page? http://www.pcwintech.com/port_test.php

My eyes are getting heavy lol
