Hi everyone.
If you are having trouble with any parts of the Simple Port Forwarding & Simple Port Tester program there are some steps you can take to get things working.
My goal is to have all the information available that I can so the user can help themselves without having to wait for me to reply. I hate having people wait, and if I am unable to check the forums for a bit then the users have to wait. I cant stand that idea, so every time I come across a fix for something while helping people I will put it online for others.
So on this page are the links and steps to get you going and hopefully get you working. If none of them help then always feel free to post in the forums asking for help. So as I get people fixed I will continue to update the main help pages

So to start off I want to bring up some of the most common problems.
The program uses the Internet Explorer control to load and interact with the web pages. This means the program relies on Internet Explorer to be working right and behaving itself. Lets face it, that doesn't always happen

So an example would be with the Simple Port Tester, when a user would run a test the program will just sit there saying checking and never move forward. So even if the user clicked the check port button themselves in the webpage it would do nothing.
This has to do with the security settings in IE. So I have updated the Simple Port Forwarding help file with what to do.
http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/help-faqSo as you can see this would also affect Simple Port Forwarding properly updating your router. So if you are getting steps that fail and the port tester won't move forward then you know what to try here. I have also included a repair IE tool that you should run. It is safe to use and I have found it to fix some of the strangest of problems with IE, more info on that is in the same help file.
Moving on, if the programs are working right yet your still having trouble with getting your port forwarding to work I have made some pages that you should give a read to. So far they have helped solve a lot of the problems for people, and again these pages will stay up to date as I come across new problems and fixes.

I take a lot of pride in my work and like thing to work smoothly. But I am only 1 man and can't help everyone lol
So to me the more info I can give the users to fix things the less they need me

Makes sense doesn't it?
Take care!
