Only list not working
« on: June 09, 2009, 10:41:11 AM »
Hi, thank you very much for this great tool.
The problem is that the CleanMem_only_list seems not to work for me. If I add, for example, Launchy.exe, then I save the .txt file and run the .bat for x64, when I run CleanMem, all the other apps memory usage decreases too. I have this problem just with the only list, the ignore list seems to work fine. I'm using Vista x64, and the portable version.
Thanks for your help.

Yes here it is:
_____________________________________________________________________________________
;AFTER ANY CHANGES MADE TO THIS FILE PLEASE RUN Apply_only_List BAT FILE

;This is the only list file for cleanmem 1.3 and above
;simply put the process name on each line and cleanmem
;will only clean those processes listed.
;the program will ignore all lines that begin with ;
;any other line without ; cleanmem will consider it a process name.

;if the list is blank cleanmem will clean all processes it can, of course skipping any that are in the ignore list.

;example (use without the ;)
;testapp.exe
;testapp2.exe

;start list here on next line
procrastination_killer.exe
leadertask.exe
babylon.exe
avguard.exe
launchy.exe
gridmove.exe
pstart.exe
setpoint.exe

I just did a test and found a bug!
turns out if something is in the ignore list the only list is skipped!

try making sure nothing is in the ignore list and it should work. I will put an update out in a day or so once I release my new bandwidth monitor program. That way they both can be released at the same time.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
