HELP NEEDED - Port Forwarding IP Question
« on: September 13, 2017, 06:49:10 PM »
Hello -
I have a new router that the lorex program is finally recognizing (Yay it made the router DB!).  I'm setting up port forwarding on the router.  IPv4.  I have 2 options, External IP address or Internal IP address...which one do I enter/use?  Internal?

Thanks,
Alana

#1 You use both.

#2 To be more exact:

a) You use the Internal one as the one to forward to as well as to connect to when behind your NAT router.

b) You use the External one as the one you need to connect to when not behind your NAT router.
