Port Forwarding Belkin F9K1118v2
« on: April 16, 2017, 12:47:08 PM »
First of all I get Error Code - [403] Access Denied when trying to update Router Database using the Auto Port Forwarding from Lorex.
Second, when I try the Free version of Simple Port Forwarding I get an Error Message also.
All I want to do is open port 8000, 1025 and 80 for my Lorex cameras.

#1 It is time to do a network inventory.

#2 If you are not sure of the network layout, start of by physically finding the equipment.

#3 This was my network layout what it used to look like.

a) A phone wire and a power wire from wall jack goes to power surge protector

b) A phone wire and a power wire from power surge protector goes to my Westell-F90-610015-06

c) An Ethernet wire from Westell-F90-610015-06 goes to my Linksys E4200's RJ-45 WAN/Internet/To Modem / To ONT - Port.

d) All of my computers are either connected to the Linksys E4200 by wire or by wireless.

#4 If not sure of what kind of cable is (or cables are) used, that is fine as long as you can just tell everything what you know about the network layout.

I get the internet from Charter Internet. The coaxial goes into a Cisco Modem Model #DPC3216. I only have the internet from Charter, no phone or television.

From the Modem the Ethernet wire goes to the Belkin F9K1118v2 Router. Out of the the router the Ethernet wire goes to the computer, Samsung TV (no games) and the Lorex NVR LNR 280. The computer has a Intel (R)Gigabit Network Connection.

My iPad's get their connection via wireless.

#1 Is your Lorex NVR LNR 280 setup to use DHCP or a Static IP?

#2 If your Lorex NVR LNR 280 is setup to use a Static IP, what is/are it's current settings (IPv4 Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and at least one DNS Server) ?
