Willing to pay to set my Huawei router! I give up!
« on: December 05, 2016, 09:27:55 PM »
Greetings.

I have a Huawei HG630 V2 4 Port LAN WIFI 300 Mbps Router NT3BB-4PVWN-142. My ISP here in Thailand is 3BB, I have their VDSL 50/10M package.

Trying to set up port forwarding. I can log into the web interface and set all the fields I've read about, but I've been fighting this for over a week now. The port checker always says port 80 not available or not open! Need to get some help before my BP goes sky high!

I have a Raspberry Pi 3 running Raspbian on my home local network. The server is Lighttpd, which is configured correctly and runs fine on my static port 99.  My data base is Wordpress.

Somebody please set the router for me (trpted?), either remotely or instructing me step by step. Name your price.

Aha, now I see! (says the blind man).

Skype is used by a couple users on my system and sure as hell, that is the problem! Skype, by default, uses port 80 or 443 if it needs to. Rather than annoy the other users into changing their settings, I guess I can change the port my server 'listens to' from 80 to something else (like 8080). I use a lightweight web server called Lighttpd (pronounced Lighty). My changes will be made in its configuration file Lighttpd.conf.

I'll let you guys know if this solved my problem.
