I need help with setting up Lorex remote view

So sorry for not replying to the last thread but I became super busy. So I created a duplicate of it.

So, I am trying to set up Lorex using the step-by-step guide - from local viewing to remote viewing to using the mobile app. I cannot get it to work.

Shane, I remember you helped me before a long time ago back when I used to have a netgear router and an older modem. Now, I change to a motorola sbg6580 modem/router and I can't get it to work.

I thought changing my ip address and port forwarding the new modem would work but it is not working. I can't even do local viewing. Please help.

#1 It is rather odd that while the IP Address is 192.168.1.250, that the Default Gateway and DNS is 192.168.0.1

#2 It would help that the Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1

#3 For the DNS,

a) first try 192.168.1.1

b) If it does not work, maybe you need to use what the DNS Servers are listed in the router's UI where the non bogan IP Address is ??

so everything is working, but the lorex app only works if i am on my wifi network. It does not work if I am far like at a store. I need help.
