Windows 10
« on: July 29, 2015, 12:24:23 PM »
Alright, I haven't used this site in a while, but it's time for more help.
I just upgraded to Windows 10 this morning, but it's so full of features, it running my computer's cpu and disk usage into the 90s. I can't shut off Cortana, but when I shut it off through the Task Manager, it launches again. I tried to turn it off but according to the settings, it's already off. Another thing is the Family Monitoring Program. It's blocking sites that I use everyday, Like Google and YouTube. Again, I cant close it through Task Manager, but it also reopens, just like Cortana.

I havent used 10 myself just yet, but make sure you have all the current updates installed, i know they have day 1 updates out already to fix things.

Did you check and see what service or program is taking up so much cpu?

Yeah, it was Cortana and AntiMalware Service Executable.

Also, I got the Family Monitoring Program to shutdown so I can access all my usual sites, but my CPU usage and Disk usage is still really high.
