Have router supplied by isp. cannot get password. Help

Cant help, you need the password. Just call your ISP and ask them for it, most ISPs do give it to you :-)

Isp says Netgear will not even give them the password

Never heard of that before, and the default netgear user and password didnt work?

User: admin
password: password

Defaults did not work. Isp was also surprised

ISP should always know it since they need to configure it. I wonder if the tech who set it up changed the default login?
