Digimerge Port forward on Motorola SBG6580
« on: November 28, 2014, 05:06:55 PM »
Hey Shane,

I could use your help.  I have a Digimerge NVR DNR200V that I'm trying to view remotely.  I am able to log into the NVR while on the same network to see the cameras.  But I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong on the port forwarding.  The instructions said to forward ports 80 and 35000.  I took some screen shots of the output from your Wizard tool for forwarding. It errors out right after the login.  Is there anything else you need to help me figure this out?

The program isnt making it past the login screen to the modem, are you able to log in manually? If so do you have the right user name and password for the modem/router set in the program?

I am able to log in manually, and it looks like from the screen shot, it is making it past step 7 on the port forward program.  Step 2 and 3 are the login and password which it shows "successful."  Its on page two of the word doc.

I called my ISP, and they said that they block port 80 on residential accounts.  So I think that is my issue.  Is there another way to open up ports for remote viewing?

If possible have the server listen on another port and forward that port. For example have the server listen on port 8080.

Yes, in the dvr you can change what http port it uses. You will just have to use a different port for it.

It appears that I can read the OP's mind.

That is wonderful and I get that, but I have a question.

What port (or ports) can this unit use, that is not likely blocked by the ISP?

I just wanted to get back to you and let you know that your suggestion worked!  I used a different port, and I was able to remotely connect into my cameras.

Thank you so much for your help.  My cable carrier and the security equipment manufacturer basically wrote me off as a dumb homeowner.

I hope one day I can help you out.  You have a great service here.

Have a great 2015!!
