Port forwarded successful, but not show in Router
« on: October 29, 2014, 09:13:40 AM »
I have a Netgear WNR2000v4Wireless Router with factory default setting. I used Simple Port Forwarding software, and successfully forwarded port 7777. Have following questions:

1) Tested forwarded port with Test program adhere to Simple Port Forwarding, result is FAILED. But when I used "Yougetsignal" to test and it show this port is OPENED. What is these mean? The port is really forwarded or not?

2) After Port Forwarded successful with Simple Port Forwarding, I went to my Router setup, but I cannot see any "Port Forwarded" shows in my Router. What's this mean?

3) If I hard reset my router, will this cancel the Forwarded Port?

Could anyone solve these mystery queries?

Post 2 screen shots for me.

1. A screen shot of the port forwarding page in the router
2. A screen shot of the results of my port tester program.

Amended: After this posted, I reset everything to factory default, and tried to redo Port Forwarding. This time, it failed to Update router. I have attached two snapshots for you to review:
