Need help i cant port forward!
« on: October 22, 2014, 07:25:30 PM »
So i've tried everything at least i think i have, and every time the port checker and always get this response "42565 is offline and can not be reached."i have my firewall in windows turned off, I also logged into my router settings and set my routers firewall settings to min, I am using a Cisco router given to me by Comcast. http://www.cisco.com/web/consumer/support/modem_DPC3939.html
P.S I have tried #1-4 in your Misc tips and gotten the same result. Also i am using port 42565 instead of 25565 because when i try 25565 i get an error.

#1 Forward the ports to your computer in the router.

#2 Post the following screen shots:

a) Showing how you forwarded your ports in the router.

b) The results of this port tester
http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester (if you have any computers that run Windows)

(Or if on a Mac computer, A screen shot of the results of the simple-port-tester for mac.)

Lets go from there :-)

**Note you did step 1 and step 2a**

What error do you get?

With the error i am not getting an error code or anything showing why it isn't working it simply says "alert" (i will attach a picture)
Also in the 1st picture there is 3 random open ports named Teredo, they were not there yesterday and are now not quite sure what they are from.

*also in the 1st picture the on the bottom the service named minecraft is the one i tried to set up using port 25565 after the alert code it just sets all the values to zero.
