Problems with Huawei E5220
« on: October 17, 2014, 11:30:48 PM »
I tried the "free" version and couldn't get it to upload port forwarding to my E5220.    So, I paid the subscription price, thinking the Pro version would work.   But, I still can't get the software to upload my port forwarding parameters.

No matter what I try to use as "name", the script tells me that it already exists.   It also seems wrong to me that it can't find the login and password fields or the login button.

I tried both of the scripts available for the E5220 with the same result.   Perhaps my ISP uses a different format in the firmware?   It may be useful to know that it's necessary to click on "Log in" in order to be presented with a screen for entering username and password.

Here is the result of running the script:

Router: Huawei - E5220 (Huawei Firmware)
Loading Commands...
Number Of Port Forwards To Send To Router (1)
Running Commands...

(Current -  1/1)
Adding Foscam Wht (TCP/UDP) For Ports 81-81 To 192.168.1.73()

Step 03. set_password("password")

Step 05. nav("html/virtualserver.html")

Step 06. check_if_name_exists("")

This Entry (Foscam Wht) Already Exists On The Router, This Entry Will be Skipped.

Finished Adding Foscam Wht

The program isnt making it past the login screen, you might have a different firmware than what the script was written for, which means i just need to update the script. Post a screen shot of the program when it tries to update the router so i can see where it is having trouble at.

Thanks, Shane.

I have attached screen shot from your software plus screen shots of the router main web page and login web page.

I noted that I can't even click on "log in" on the router page in your window.  Perhaps this is normal?

If you end up making a new script, it will be for all Huawei E5220 users in New Zealand.

I think I see the problem, I need to have the script click the log in link at the top of the page. I checked in the database and I have about 6 models that all use the html/virtualserver.html page but none of them click a log in link. Most of them have the log in page show up as the default, for some reason on your firmware they decided to make you click a link to get to it lol.

So do this for me, open the router page and dont log in, if your logged in log out of it, then go up to the log in link in the upper right and right click on it and click copy link and paste that to me. Then iw ill tell you what to do next on that :-)

Very strange.    Nothing shows with right-click.

But, you can get the login screen to pop up by clicking on any of the other buttons, such as "Settings".

If you click on Settings and you aren't logged in, it pops up the login screen.

You can achieve this by going here:   http://192.168.1.1/html/quicksettup.html

I'll be away for several hours.   Thanks for the help so far.

Ok, so I just have to have the program click one of the links up top.

I will be in my office for a while today since I am working on an update for my windows repair program. When you get back send me an email to shane at pcwintech.com and I will teamviewer into you and fix and test the script. Since you paid for the pro there is no reason to make you wait, and if I do it directly I can get it done a lot faster and then get back to work on my other program lol
