Can't port forward Huawei HG532e
« on: August 02, 2014, 06:45:46 PM »
Salutations you all.
So well, I wanted to host a IT game, however, I can enter myself and myself in another accounts, but, when a friend with different IP tries to connect he can't.

I am using a Huawei HG532e from TELMEX.
Default Gateway:192.168.1.254

Web page from the product: 192.168.1.254

I have done a test of IP and my IP result in here and another programs is DIFFERENT to my IP when putting the "ipconfig" thing.
Is a static IP issue? How can I repair it?

#1 Forward the ports to your computer.

#2 Post the following screen shots

a) Showing how you forwarded your ports in the router.

b) The results of this port tester
http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester

(Or if on a Mac computer, A screen shot of the results of the simple-port-tester for mac.)

Lets go from there :-)

Your friend should be connecting to your internet IP and not your local IP, only people on the same network as you, such as yourself, will connect using your local IP

Nevermind with that.

Alright, I did the next:
I went to advanced, NAT and edition of applications:

"Puerto Interno" means Internal Port and "Puerto Externo" external port.

I am trying to open ports 40000(as server port) and 40010(as main server port).

Then I went to  port mapping:

I added my application made in edition of applications, added my external ip as remote host and my computer's ip as internal host.

Shane: my internet has not IP? It says 0.0.0.0 and such.

In port forwarding rules you always leave the remote IP blank. You only set the local IP and that is the one that is to be forwarded to, so your computers local IP.

If you put a remote IP in the port forwarding rule you are telling the router only that remote IP is allowed to come in. So you leave it blank so all are allowed.

Ah, thank you.

So, this edit is supposed to allow my ports 40000 and 40010 be open for hosting this server properly?

I also did this in my port triggering; I am not sure if affects my ports or open them too

Remove any rules in port triggering, no rules in port filtering (Which blocks ports) and make sure DMZ is off.

Then in the port mapping just apply the service you made to the local Ip of your computer.

Alright, I have done all the neccesary.
I keep my application to UPD/TCP, added it with the internal host, deleted the port triggering.

However, when I try to connect it still fails.

I have create rules in my firewall to allow any port enter, but, still fails?

Of 4000(UDP-TCP) and 40010(UPD-TCP) cannot be reached and are offline.

Since I only read english can you verify that the screen shots you showed me are of the port forwarding rules and not port triggering rules?
