main website has ads covering text of webpage

Here is a screenshot to help illustrate my point.  I see that this happens on almost all of your webpages.

This makes it very difficult to read the actual text.

Ah, your screen resolution must be on the lower end, what screen resolution do you have right now?

Shane

1366 x 768, 1GB Intel HD memory + 2GB nVidia GeForce dedicated video card.

I doubt it is a resolution problem, as you are the only site I have visited that has consistently had this problem.  I suspect either the text on the page is not wrapping around the ad objects properly, or the objects are not laid out correctly.

If you used a fixed resolution for your pages (650-900 pixel width), it is easier to assign absolute positioning for objects .  Then the worst case scenario for a user with a lower resolution is that they would get horizontal scroll bars.

There it should be fixed. I had had the max width set but didnt realize the min width was set to 95% instead of a set size.

I fixed that so should be fixed now :-)

Looks good.  The ads in question appear near the bottom of the pages.  That's ok with me :)

Quick question: what website builder program do you use to update your pages?

I use Drupal on my sites. The theme I use auto changes for tablets and phones based on screen size, so anything under 1100 pixels gets moved to the tablet theme, which is what you see now.

I tried having it at 1024 width but it didnt fit everything so I had to bump it up. I should tweak it a little bit and see what the min it is that I can get while keeping everything fit inside :-)
