The advanced monitor rules are stored in the rules.cmm file in the same folder as the program. You can edit it with notepad to take a look at it.

Can you give me more information on what is happening? Such as when you notice they are gone, how long after adding them before they are gone, and any information that might help.

Perhaps file permissions are messed up ? If so, then Windows won't allow you to write/update the rules file. It then also tries to read the (missing) rules file.

Solution: download, install & run Tweaking's "Windows Repair All In One" with at least the box "reset File Permissions" ticked.

- Perhaps it better to move the settings files to another folder (C:\ProgramData\......,  C:\Users\........... ) ? Instead of storing those settings in a "C:\Program files ...\........" subfolder ?
- FYI: After a fresh installation of Win 7 I noticed that permissions for one or more "C:\Program files ...." folders prohibited me from saving files to those folders.
