#1 Forward the ports to your computer.

#2 Post 2 screen shots for us.

a) A screen shot of the port forwarding page in the router
b) A screen shot of the results of this port tester
http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester

(Or if on a Mac computer, A screen shot of the results of the simple-port-tester for mac.)

Lets go from there :-)

#1 What software firewall is on your computer?

#2 Do you have another computer that you could forward to/test with?

#3 In the router go to System Tools -> Logs

#4 Does the router's logs, suck?

By this I mean, it is does not record any attack/forwarded traffic?

For example on my router this is what I have.

Quote
Index   Log
1   0000:System: Router initialization succeeded.
2   0002:DHCP client tx discover(B).
3   0002:DHCP client read, totlen = 372(1048).
4   0002:DHCP client tx request.
5   0002:DHCP client read, totlen = 372(1048).
6   0003:DHCPC: Network config succeeded.
7   0043:DHCPS: 1:0x0007e9******, 192.168.2.100, ACK in request.

L = 192.168.2.1 : M = 255.255.255.0
W1 = DHCP : W = 192.168.1.5 : M = 255.255.255.0 : G = 192.168.1.1
Free=5004, Busy=21, Bind=19, Inv=0/0, Bc=0/0, Dns=0, cl=256, fc=0/0, sq=0/0

Note where 0007e9****** is the MAC Address (called Physical Address if on Windows) of my computer equal 00:07:e9:**:**:**

#5 In the router go to Security Options

#6 Is one of the options in there, Remote Management?

When I see this happen with other people it is normally because of one of three things.

1. The ISP is blocking TCP ports
2. The router is faulty and isnt forwarding TCP
3. The firewall on the users system is blocking TCP

Who is your ISP and I will google them and see if they are know to block any ports :wink:

Most likely your firewall software. :wink:

Check your antivirus it may have a firewall in it as well that is causing the problem.

The fact that you where able to forward to another computer and it was just fine means that the problem is on your computer and not in the router. If it was the router the other computer should of had the same problem.

So you know port forwarding works. But something on your system is blocking the TCP.

On my other site you can use my windows repair tool and run the repair windows firewall and see if that helps any. :wink:
