Wireless router problem
« on: December 26, 2013, 06:30:54 PM »
I hear this is the best place to come for problems…
So we just set internet up in our apartment…
I went out and bought a new router, because the old one 'didn't work'…
I can get internet straight from the jack in the wall, or via the router, as long as there is an ethernet cable connected to either… But nothing wireless.
I have played with the settings a little bit, but still nothing.

Help :(

Anything is appreciated :)

Also, netgear dm111pspv2

#1 Go to http://www.pcwintech.com/myip

#2 With another web browser Window OR Tab in the router go to Router Status

#3 The WAN IP in the router should be the same, if not - please post.

#4 Also, post a screen shot of the results of this port tester
http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester

(Or if on a Mac computer, A screen shot of the results of the simple-port-tester for mac.)

Lets go from there :-)

trtped he is asking for wireless help not port forwarding :-)

Sorry for the late reply, my wife just had our baby and I am answering post while she sleeps :-)

Can you post a screen shot of the wireless settings page in your router so I can double check the settings?
