Locked up router with wrong firmware
« on: June 30, 2013, 03:12:04 AM »
Hello,
I recently downloaded the updated firmware for my Huawei b593u-12, but instead it just had a seizure and now isn't working at all. All i get is a blinking WPS light.
I plug it into my computer, it tells me there's a problem, I try to recover but nothing happens.

That is the danger of messing with the firmware. You normally can never recover from it and you turn it into a paper weight.

Some routers, normally the higher ones have a recover option, but I dont think any home routers do normally.
