Limit of ports?
« on: May 07, 2013, 06:19:49 PM »
#1 I know of these limits:

a) Port number(s) go from 1 to 65535.

b) Once a port is in use (some thing listening on it), you can not have some thing else listen on it too.

#2 Other than the limits that I know of (above) : How many ports can your port checker listen and check at one time?

Thank you

Dont know as I have never tried to max it out.

I dont know if Windows puts a limit on the number of a ports a program can open or not. I am sure resources come into play as well.

I posted a general question at DSLR (dslreports.com) -> Forums ->
Broadband Tech -> Networking -> what is the limited number of ports that can be listened to?
