OK I dont see the rule there.

On the port forwarding page you can only enter a port to 1 rule at a time. Is there any rules there now?

Change the rule, start and end port should both be 7000. Just edit that rule and make the changes.

Also I connected to your internet IP on port 7000 and get the login, so you are working

I am off, take care :-)

Go to pull up the Netview and  hit Auto Scan to locate my DVR, but it give me Network Connection Error. I put the password for the DVR into the password slot and try again, nothing....

I know I am close to solidifying all this

I'm back :-)

The fact that I can get to the dvr over the internet means the dvr is working. And the software your using is connecting locally so port forwarding wouldnt be in the way of it.

I have a feeling your firewall software may be blocking the program

When you say you can get the  dvr over the internet .....are you just putting this into the browser (http://192.158.1.2:7000/) if so I get nothing.

How would I let my firewall allow me to make a connection...

Thanks Shane

No thats the dvrs local IP. To get to it from the internet I used your internet IP which shows up for me when you post.

Depends what firewall you have. Windows has one built in, but a lot of antiviruses have one and the users dont realize that. What antivirus do you have installed?

AVG has a firewall in it if it isnt the free version.

When you first ran the dvr program did anything pop up ask permission?
