Belkin F5D8326-4 v2 issue with mobile phones
« on: November 11, 2012, 07:06:53 PM »
Hi guys,

Have a problem with my Belkin F5D8326-4 v2. I have managed to get all my laptops to be able to connect to the router wirelessly but my mobile phones cannot seem to connect. I have an Andriod phone which can see the network but when I key in the password to connect, it just continues scanning.
The iphone cant even identify the network sometimes and when it does, the SSID has this weird cross sign (+) in between.

I'm currently on channel 6 and have tried channel 1 & 11 to no avail.

Current security mode is WPA/WPA2 personal and encryption technique is TKIP + AES.

Have already tried to hard reset the router and reset up to no avail.

Mobile phones had no issue connecting previously until i connected a new laptop to the network.

Its also not letting me update the firmware.

Would really appreciate any help.

I had that problem on an old router of mine. Turned out to be something wrong with the router. Somethings could connect while others couldn't.

At the same time it might be a simple setting. Post a screen shot of the wireless settings in the router, then with that I can give you some things to change and try to see if it helps

Hi Shane,

Thanks for the reply.

I've attached a screenshot of my Channel and SSID.

Anything else you need?

Try making the network name just one word.

And for testing disable the password for the wireless and see if they can connect

OMG. Thanks mate. Just having the network name as one word solved the issue immediately.

Thanks a lot was driving me crazy.
