Minecraft Server Problem! [ ZyXEL P-2601HN-F1 ]
« on: November 08, 2012, 02:45:46 AM »
Hi!

I've tried just about everything. Everyone told me that i cannot host a minecraft server because my 25565 port i closed. So i tried eveything and still i could not open it on the UDP end.

Then i found a similar thread with the same issue as i was having:

I did as he did and i got the port 25566 open (NOT 25565):

But... even now when the port is open at TCP and UDP, my friends STILL cannot join my server. They only get the message " Connection Refused "/ "Timed out".

My Router/Modem model is " P-2601HN-F1 "
I cant find a tutorial on Portforward.com
I called my isp and they told me also i need to open the port. wich i did.
this seems pretty hopeless.

Yay, about http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h138/stonze123/Untitled2-1.png

You are so close. :)

#1 Close out the port checker that you downloaded and installed.

#2 If the Minecraft Server was running when you used that port checker, close it.

#3 Open up the Minecraft Server and then have them try again to connect to you.

If the port is open then port forwarding is done :-)

When you have your friends connect make sure they are using your internet IP. You also need to make sure your firewall isnt blocking the game
