Hi Shane,

When considering the deferences bettween a web browser connection(dynamic IP) with a webserver(static IP), againest an app socket(dynamic IP) to app socket(dynamic IP) connection.
I note:
1) Web server (static IP) can send (response) to the client's browser (dynamic IP).
2) app socket (dynamic IP) cannot connect to another app socket (dynamic IP) eventhough their IPs are know to each other.

q1) What are the differences between model 1 & model 2 in terms of socket connection?
q2) What are the posible alternatives to enbale model 2 to work like model 1? (assuming their IPs are already known to each other)

Best regards,
Tamer

The connections dont matter really. It all comes down to how they are connecting and with what protocol. TCP, UDP or something else?

1 and 2 are no different from each other. If #2 isnt connecting then something else is going on, otherwise it should work no different

Well a lot of 3G ISP's block ports. So if you are using one as a host that might be the problem right there.
