Dear Shane,

Is good that you have heard our praises, and the bug on the previous version regarding Windows XP x64 is gone, thanks for the workout.

Definitely this is the best tool for windows xp.

Here's  a suggestion to improve CM v2.4.3:

Add to the AM a "modify rule" option. Here's a way how it could be done. When and only when the user has highlighted a line in the AM list, make the text on the button "Add rule" change to "Modify rule".
When the user clicks on "Modify rule" then the program could show the usual "add rule" window but now with the data pulled up from the highlighted rule/line. that would allow the user to modify the rule/line.

And I continue to think that the next version of CM should include a number of other improvements which were mentioned by me, in the thread "CM v2.4.2".

Here's another small improvement for CM v2.4.3. Currently the AM displays e.g. the text "Done (2 cleaned)" or e.g. "N/A (0 cleaned)". I personally would like to see that text in the column "results" reduced to "2 cleaned", "2 killed" or "0 cleaned". Get rid of "done" & "N/A". And leave the appropriate spot in the AM window empty when one program/process isn't running at all.

Question: did you change anything significantly in CM v2.4.3 with regard to the Task Scheduler code ? Because, from time to time, the CM Mini Monitor fails to start upon Windows startup. Then the system tray icon doesn't show up. when I look in Task Scheduler then everything seems to look OK. And I DID instruct the mini monitor to start upon power up.

Or is some other piece of software to blame ? some lousy windows program update ? I had trouble with the Microsoft Windows update before. Then everytime I started my laptop a full windows update scan would be performed and then my laptop would become a snail for the first 5 to 15 minutes everytime I hooked up to the internet.

No I didnt change anything.

If you have icons not showing up at startup that could be the bug I see in the SSDP service in Windows. Just like I told you back in June :-)

Did you try disabling the SSDP service yet?

Yes, I did try it. But to no avail. So, I disabled the service and enabled it again. No change. It seems my laptop continues to behave irregular. Perhaps I need to switch to a different free anti virus scanner ? I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

When you disabled it did you reboot? You have to leave it disabled.

I only now noticed that you changed "Last checked" into "Last Cleaned" in the AM.  :shy:  Thumbs up  :cheesy:
