3DS Problems
« on: August 21, 2012, 05:45:46 PM »
i got my 3DS XL around 20 days ago and updated the firmware.
So i wanted to play Mario Kart 7 online and after i get connected to Nintendo Connection and tried to play Worldwide i got a Communication Error
I really dont know what to do.
Nintendo said that i need to enable DMZ but my modem does not have it.
So i am trying like 10 days to find a way to fix that.
I think DMZ is enabling all the ports.
Well i am at 0% of fixing that so it would be great if we could fix it finally.
My modem is Zyxel and the version is P-660HW-T1 v3

Someone please help....

In zyxel there is a couple of things you can check.

By default in that router you need to go to the firewall page. There you will see "Wan To Lan" make sure that is set to permit.

Let me know

Was it already set to permit or did you have to change it to that?

Ok next thing you can do is on the port forwarding page in the router you will see default server. That is DMZ.

Put the IP of the 3DS in there and give it another try

I dont have a 3ds myself so I cant see if there is something about it.

What we can do is setup a port forwarding rule to your computer to test that the port forwarding works
