CHCKDSK tool
« on: August 06, 2012, 10:48:51 PM »
Hi Shane
I have an idea about a CHCKDSK tool that runs in the background and automatically detects disk errors+fix+report errors and fixes. That kind of tool, can free the regular user (that knows that such an option exists in windows) from going to the event viewer and see if there are any errors, and many times solve some machine problems that may derive from disk errors. What do you think?

Chkdsk can only repair a drive if it isn't in use. So having it auto run wont work.

However I did make this to make it easier to have it run at next boot for users

I know it can only repair if a drive isn`t at use, what I meant is that the software I talk about would find by itself if there are any  errors by for example going through an automatic check every 7 days with an option for the user to schedule it otherwise, or when being in the background and "listening" to some suspicious machine behavior that points towards  some possible disk error, it will automatically schedule a CHCKDSK at next boot by itself.
