simple port tester and port testing sites on web
« on: July 15, 2012, 09:24:22 PM »
Hi. I bought simple port forwarding program and forwarded some ports. When i check them with simple port tester program it says success, which means they are open. However when i check those ports on web sites it says the port is closed. Can anyone help about this situation? The web sites i tried are "www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/" and "http://ping.eu/port-chk/". Thanks in advance

Online port testers are normally pointless.

If nothing accepts their connection they fail no matter what.

My port tester opens the port on your computer and listens for a connection from my site. So if it say they are open then you know they are
