Show Monitor--CleanMem Version 2.4.2
« on: July 15, 2012, 06:21:29 AM »
I am using WinVista SP2 & since I upgraded to CleanMem version 2.4.2 "Show Monitor" intermittently disengages. I have the box ticked, but the monitor display disappears intermittently. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Paul

Does the tray icon still work? Is it just the monitor on the desktop it self that goes away? Or the whole program?

Yes, the tray icon still works ok. Just the display on the monitor goes away, not the entire program...

Sounds like the monitor is positioned off screen.

Right click on the tray icon and hit reset window positions. That should move it back to the screen. :cheesy:

That didn't resolve the issue. There may be a conflict between the monitor display & some other program I have installed on my computer, but I have no idea which program might be conflicting with it.

Well lets see first if something is moving it.

Open regedit and go to
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PcWinTech\CleanMem Mini Monitor]

Export that out and post it

I'm going to have to e-mail the regedit entry to you since snipping tool screen capture won't copy & paste here. What is your e-mail address?

Well I know it isnt opening off screen.

Would you be willing to try to run it in Windows safe mode and see if the problem is still there?

That would at least let me know if it is something with the system or something with the program :cheesy:

When you restart the computer you need to start hitting the F8 key, if you see the Windows logo you issed it and need to try again. Once it works you will get a menu and you can choose safe mode.

Well now I am scratching my head lol.

Can you post a screen shot of the monitor settings for me?

Just open paint and go to edit and paste when you use the snipping tool, save it as a jpg and you can attach it
