Trouble with Lorex Remote viewing
« on: June 30, 2012, 01:11:37 AM »
Hello,

I have been reading all over your forum looking for an answer to my problem. Several are alike but in my case everything was working "well", our only problem was the delay in the images because of the internet speed or something, so, someone from the telephone company came to "fix" that and I don't know what happened, because when I arrived (I'm in the graveyard shift) they told me the page wasn't loading anymore.

I already checked the DVR's modems, they are working, on-line, and everything seems to be ok with them. I do have internet access in the machine, so it isn't an internet connection issue.

I ran the Auto Port Fowarding and updated the router, it reports everything as "successful" but when I try to test connection in IE, it says it can't find the page.

What should I do? Could someone help me?

Lets see if anything changed :-)

Post 2 screen shots for me.

1. A screen shot of the port forwarding page in the router.

2. A picture of the network setup in the DVR.

With those I can see if anything changed

Hi there!

Once again my co-workers (my boss included) were "trying to fix"   the problem and God knows what they did but it's working again.  :blank:

I've noticed whenever windows update installs something it seems to affect the Web Client. Do you know if there's some issue with windows updates and Lorex Web Client?

Anyway, I really appreciate your attention and response.

The screen is from the day I ran the Auto Port Fowarding.

I can't go right now to take the pic from the network setup, but I'll get it as soon as I can.

Once again thank you very much,

A. Rivera

If it is working again then no need for the other screen shot.

Sounds like the DVR is set to automatic for getting an IP from the router. This means the IP can change thus breaking the port forwarding rule.

You should make the IP static in the DVR and then edit the port forwarding rule with the static IP you put in the DVR.
