Fraps
« on: May 13, 2012, 08:48:23 AM »
Heya. for some reason i lagg when i try to record 1080p with 60 fps while playing wow when i use fraps i think it's wierd because for a while ago i had no problems recording with that settings and still have 100 fps ingame but now i drop below 20 and it laggs like hell i also record on an extern HD maybe it's better to get a second intern HD instead and i dont think it's my computer

Speccs:
Radeon hd 6870
Intel® Core i7-260
Crucial DDR3 1333MHz 2GB, CL9
MSI P67A-C45 B3, Socket-1155

Nothing to fancy but i think that recording should not be a big deal even on that settings do you have any tip on like fix it or something.

Might be video card drivers, perhaps get the newest version?

Also what is the CPU and memory usage when the lag happens?

I just downloaded latest drivers and it made no differance also i got around 30-35% cpu usage and around 40% Memory usage while running fraps, wow, skype, spofity, google chrome etc. and i got around 200 fps ingame while not recording and dropping to less then 20 when i start recording.

As a test, can you try using something else to record?

This way we can see if it is the system or the program itself
