[VPS] Windows 2008 Firewall.

Hello!

I'v been looking for the best Firewall for my VPS, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Enterprise x86_64.
Does anyone know a great firewall for that?
My VPS for Hacked for some days ago and i want the firewall to block this s***.

First always make sure you have all Windows updates, they are always plugging holes. :wink:

Comodo firewall has a free version and is pretty good.

Is your VPS totally open to the net? Such as DMZ so every port is open type thing, or do you only have a few ports open to it via port forwarding?

Reason why I ask is a router is a hardware based firewall. So unless you have every single port open you should have been safe. Unless someone was able to get a back door installed on your VPS.

If you are using this in a business setup then you might want to consider a commercial grade firewall.
