Your PS3 supports UPnP which is auto port forwarding. So you shouldn't need a static IP if your using UPnP.

If your not tell me exactly what info you are putting into the PS3 for the static ip

First thing to try is you need to use an IP that the router hasnt already given out. So try 192.168.2.250

See if that works.

okay i got so far that i have a static ip adress on my PS3 with:

IP adress: 192.168.10.30
subnetmask: 255.255.255.0
standardrouter: 192.168.10.1
primary dns : 192.168.2.1
secondary dns: 0.0.0.0

with these i can connect to the internet on my ps3 but i still have nat type 3. So what i want to do is put the PS3 as an exposed host ( dmz ) but when i try to enter it it says this: The highlighted local IP address does not lie within the IP address range of your device specified by the subnet mask. Please choose another address. so what i want to know how can i put my ps3 as an exposed host? i tried changing the ip and standard router to 192.168.2.30 and 192.168.2.1 but that way my PS3 wont connect to the internet.

Your PS3 IP is on a different IP range than the DNS that's why it isn't working.

192.168.10 is a different IP range than 192.168.2

The DNS should be the same as the gateway. Or just use googles dns 8.8.8.8

Also double check you are setting the correct IP for it since you have a different IP range for the DNS

First turn off static, let it get a normal IP address then tell me what it gets.

Like I said before, the DNS should be the same as the gateway IP (Which is normally the IP of your router)

Now log into the router and find the DMZ or exposed host page.

Enable it and put in 192.168.10.250 for the IP. Save and reboot the router
