Security update fro windows for net framework 2,3 and 4
« on: December 29, 2011, 09:40:39 PM »
Hi guys,

I got this problem earlier when I performed a windows update today. I have posted screen shots. The first one pops up when windows live mail starts, I click retry then I get the second one, I click retry and everything works fine. Could anybody help figure this out? Shane I used your register system files but it did not work.

We'll I took the lazy way. I restored an image and figured out it was the net framework 3 update causing problem. Guess I will not install that one yet.

Your current .net might be messed up. So when the update installs it just goes to nuts.

The best thing to do with .net is to completely remove it, reboot and install it fresh. Works like a charm every time for me

This removal tool is what you need

The removal tool removes all .net. Which normally is a good thing as this way you know there wont be any isssues.

Granted if you don't have a good internet connection then downloading the .nets again will be rather slow.

The size of .net and how easy it is to become broken are the 2 main and only reasons I still program in VB 6 instead of VB.Net

VB6 run times - 1 MB
.Net (Depending on version) - 28 MB to 300 MB

The bigger it is the more that can break
