On your computer open a command window and type in ipconfig

This will show you the computers local IP.  :wink:

Did you forward the test ports to 192.168.1.5?

hey thanks buddy... i finally got it to work. i appreciate the help and your time. but i am yet to check if its working fine on my iphone. thanks alot, u were a huge help to me getting this sorted out.
PS: i cannot view it remotely on the same router the DVR is connected to, is this normal?

Yes, when on the same network as the dvr you use its local IP. When outside the network then you use the internet IP or the DDNS name :wink:
