What would you recommend for a pagefile size? I'm running cleanmem and my memory is maxed out (3 gig's).
It is currently static at 768 mb.

On customers machines I have it set to static 2048 MB

On my machine (I have 8GB and Windows 7) I turn off the page file. I have more than enough memory and I get a performance increase. There is a side effect that blue screens wont be recorded, but my system is stable so no problem.

The more load you take off the hard drive the faster the system will be. With 3GB you might do fine with it off if your memory never goes over 2GB in use.

I generally recommend that you leave it to a system managed size. There used to be a great video available to could really explain as to why, but just do what works for you. On a side note, it sounds like you have may have added RAM to your system since it was initially activated since the pagefile size generally around 1.5x of available RAM. If you add more then the system (in XP definitely) won't recognize that you did unless you tell it to.
