No tool tips
« on: September 16, 2011, 07:13:36 PM »
I uninstalled Tuneup Utilities sometime back. I'v discovered after doing this that the tool tips that pop up in the system tray to right do not work when I hoover the mouse over the little icons in it. I'v checked the registry (EnableToolTips etc.) and everything looks good, cant figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if the tooltip is showing behind the taskbar so you dont see it. One way to test this is to have a large tooltip.

Download and install my CleanMem tool
http://www.pcwintech.com/cleanmem

Open the mini monitor. It will have a tray icon. Put your mouse over it and you should get a big tooltip showing memory info.

Let me know what happens

I already use several of your programs including cleanmem (by the way all of the programs are great) and no there are no tool tip bubbles.

Tooltips are controlled by the reg key that you already set. Something else is broken or off somewhere.

You could try my Windows repair tool on my other site tweaking.com

That fixes a lot of permissions problems.

Your on Vista, what service pack do you have installed?

The program shouldn't change any settings. Just run the reg permissions one and perhaps the file permissions. The rest you can skip

Great to hear  :cheesy:

Since your all fixed I will lock this thread.

And as always...
If your happy with my work. Then all I ask in return is you simply let others know about my site and programs. I help with anything computer or network related :-)
Also always feel free to make a post in the feedback forum.
And a facebook like at the top of the page of my site is nice as well. ;)
