html or java or whatever for my website
«

i have been recently building a webpage and what i am running into is i need a search function for it but.... my page is a bunch or car parts numbers in an excel spread sheet format and i would like the search function to work as it does in excel where you type in what you are looking for and the page stays the same but it goes to whatever number you typed and highlights it. all the search functions i have found so far take you to some external page this is not good for what my customers need. does anyone know of any preexisting code in java or html or is there anyone thats smarter than me that can write some real quick? many thanks guys.
btw my page is
http://phillipsmusclecarpartsinventory.weebly.com
if you wanna check it out and make suggestions or whatever.

I am a windows programmer and the stuff I did on my site was thanks to searching for examples on Google.
There are tons of examples for search functions there

Google has a search function that you can use on your site.

i really cant seem to find a search program code that meets the parameters that i need. it needs to be where you type in a part number or model name and the program scrolls down to the section of the page where that number or name is referenced and then highlights it ...or if you use the search function on the wrong page it will jump to the right page and highlight what you are looking for. just the same as excel works when you use the find function on it. im pretty sure something like this is out there i am just unable to find it...all the ones i keep finding take you to some unknown page with your search results and you click on it and it takes you to the page its on but doesnt scroll to the number or highlight it...that doesnt do me any good ...any help would be great thnx Shane.

the search you have on the top right still takes you to another page and lists what you asked for ...i want it to stay on the same page and just scroll down and highlight ...the search right above your list doesnt work

so im guessing its not working on mozilla because thats an apple program and ie is for windows systems ...is there someway you can make it work on mozilla as well or maybe have 2 separate search boxes one that works on ie and is labeled that way and one that works on mozilla and is labeled as such?

Firefox isnt a mac program, it runs on them all
