Interesting bug - Duplicate July 31sts.

Nope.  The larger number looks to be more or less correct. 

One thing that happened early this morning was unusual.  HP's monthly diagnostic kicked in.  But I was running another program overnight.  It and the HP program combined to bring the computer to a crawl (I guess it's hard to do memory tests when other programs are using huge chunks of memory) by the time I woke up and looked at it.  Maybe SIML got lost in the shuffle.

That is always possible. The program looks in the database for the date and to know which record to store the data in. All this is done in memory. I could see something making the program thing the date wasn't there so it made a new record.
