Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band router
« on: July 29, 2011, 04:59:57 PM »
I recently purchased a Netgear N600 (WNDR3400) over a Linksys E2500. Right now it is giving me spectacular results. I am not having a problem whatsoever. Do you think I made the right choice or would the Linksys be better?

I personally have seen a few bugs in the linksys firmware. Port forwarding wise.

I had a older netgear from 2006, still works but the ip tables kept getting messed up on it and had to reboot it to fix connection problems.

Currently running a Linksys E2000 so I can see how they do. It has the port forwarding bug, I can't get linksys to listen to me lol
Thinking of dumping it and going back to netgear. The Linksys drops the internet randomly every few days and has to be rebooted.

But, no matter what. It all depends on what model you get! Both brands have higher end models, both have cheap, you get what you pay for models.

So far I have a customer with 30 pcs and I have a netgear FS311 small business grade router/firewall hooked up. Haven't had to reboot it once in 2 years
