« on: July 28, 2011, 10:49:43 AM »
Hi there,

I usually change my wan ip with this script, but isn't working at windows 7.

Code: [Select]
@echo off
ipconfig /release

netsh interface IP set address "Local Area Connection" static 1.2.3.4 255.0.0.0 1.2.3.5 20

netsh interface ip set address name="Local Area Connection" source=dhcp

ipconfig /renew

What change ?
What i can do ?

Whats the results when you run your script on 7?

From the looks of the script you release the ip, then set it to static, then put it back to dhcp and then renew the IP.
Not sure why you need to set it as static.

My tool on my toolbox page might help though :-)

Your Local area connection looks like it has all of its info correctly.

I am starting to get a little confused on what exactly the problem is lol

So lets start from the beginning.

What is it your trying to do with the script in Windows 7?
What is the goal?

If your internet IP is going to your computer there is an easy way to get a new IP. Change the mac address of your network card. Its a simple setting.

The DHCP remembers what IP it gives out based on MAC address. Change the MAC, you get a new IP
