« on: February 24, 2011, 01:20:51 PM »
hi Shane
I have question on Port Tester. Ports are forwarded. it forwarded to 192.168.0.119 (pic attached on 1).
Then I did Port Tester, on Ip Listen to, it pointed to 192.168.0.100 (2). And then it says Failed (3).
But on (4) it say open. A little confuse here

It looks like you set up port forwarding correctly for the *.119 IP but selected the wrong IP for the tester.  Does the port status tool report back that everything is okay if you run it from the machine with the *.119 IP address?

Also, if you look at the upper right hand side of the main window of the program it will show the local IP for the machine it is on.

The port tester opens and listens on the port on the current machine. SO the port tester is only for testing to that computer. if .119 is pointing to a different device then the port tester wont work, unless something is on the other device that will accept the connection.

In this case the device with .119 accepted the connection on port 9000 and thus the page reported back that it works.
