okay so i have the 2Wire 3800HGV-B, and ive recently started a world of warcraft private server and i need to open

alot of ports in order for other people to connect. the problem is, everytime i try to open ports, none of them

actually open, ive got like 5 open at once before that was the most. I tried DMZ and even that didnt open any ports,

it shows them as Closed, almost every single port.  I made sure it was on the right IP adress and i made sure my

firewall was off and i even turned my router firewall off, nothing works! id really love some help here.

No problem

What we need to do is start going down this list
http://www.pcwintech.com/common-problems-fixes-port-forwarding

So in your 2wire, find its WAN or Internet IP address. Does it match the IP on this page?

OK then lets check the router settings next.

When you set the port forwarding rules, did you set it to the IP or the computer name?

Right, or did you specify an IP address instead?

If it was by computer name then make sure to check Problem #7 on

Ok then we need to look towards your computer. DO you have a 3rd party firewall installed or just the windows firewall?

Enable the windows firewall.

And on this page
http://www.pcwintech.com/shanes-toolbox

I want you to download 2 programs.
Detect Possible Firewalls (Don't show Microsoft services) Let me know what this one says.
and
Repair WMI & Windows Firewall (Reboot after running this one)

Than after you reboot we need to make sure my port tester is able to get through the firewall

What antivirus do you have installed?

And make sure the windows firewall is on.

If don't already have it, download http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester

And test the ports you opened
