A Win registry editor vesion 5

Hi Shane
A Win registry editor version 5  question : Can  a 5 seconds wait to a kill of a hanged up program  at shut down may
delete some data that I was working on , or damage the program itself  ? Is there a way to reverse command to defaults?

5 sec. is what I use. But your needs might be different :wink:

Thanks for your reply, shouldn't be the changes be applied to :HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\ registry branch ,as well ?

Shouldn't need to. The .Default is used by the Local account

Since the local account is for services the

Kills services. :wink:

And the

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"HungAppTimeout"="5000"
"WaitToKillAppTimeout"="5000"

Kills the programs ran by you :wink:
