You should be able to put it in transparent mode. Then reboot the belkin by unplugging the power and then back in

Every time I try to put in Transparent Mode I lose my IP address and then I have to disconnect my modem from my router and reconnect it to my computer to get it back.

Right, after it goes to transparent mode you have to unplug the power from the router then back in. When it comes back up it should get the new ip

Now when I try to put it in transparent mode, it says that I have to have a username and password, which is not possible for me to get.

Your ISP wont give you that information? Would they be willing to set it into transparent or bridge mode for you then?
