I have cleanmem running on my system while I play every game, including black ops, you wont notice a single hiccup

Firefox can have bad memory leaks, a lot of times do to what add-on's it has. So can IE and any other browser.
Had one user with IE that freaked out, sucked up ALL her memory and filled the entire page file at the same time. Killed IE and it all cleared. With java, flash, html5, scripts and so on you can see why memory goes out the door some times.

Dont worry about the cache of memory. That is windows maintaining things. As your system needs more memory it comes out of the cache

I am on Windows 7 64bit with 8 gb of ram and I still use cleanmem :-)

Hi shane and thnx for your reply, so what your saying is kill all my plugins and add ons to stop leaks but what about streaming content then is that possible? Also I meant could I add steam and black ops to my log list to help with any memory leaks?

cheers

You don't have to disable anything with cleanmem running :-)

Also you don't have to add anything to the logs to have it set. Cleanmem cleans every process it can.

CleanMem Ignore List - When you use this cleanmem will clean from every process and skip the ones in this list.

CleanMem Only List - When you use this cleanmem will only clean the processes in this list and skip all others.

Cleanmem Log Settings - Used to simply keep an eye on how a process is doing. Cleanmem will record what it did with the processes you put in this list.

I use Firefox, chrome is good as well. Its up to you. IE is not very good. IE 9 beta looks better but I will wait and see when IE 9 comes out if MS finally got theirs up to par with the rest
