optimizing vista
« on: October 01, 2010, 11:12:36 AM »
Hello to all,
I like this site, articles and programs.
My problem is my vista home premium.I aplied all tweaks I could find on internet. Some tweaks are bad and I learned that ending up with less performance. Many tweaks I aplied, added cleanmem and applied all Shanes tweaks. All of them work flawlesly!
But, I cant find my network driver. So, I ask Shane to be kind and explain in detail, step by step how to find network driver and enable flow control.
Thank you Shane and keep your work. You are on right track.

I actually have a set of tweaks I use on my customers computers that I can get vista to run nearly twice as fast. But this gives me my edge over other techs here so I don't post it on the net.

On the flow control you go to your adapter settings. (Go to device manager and the properties of the network adapter)

In that screen click on advanced. You will see flow control in the list
