Port Forwarding Problems with BT Home Hub 2.0
« on: May 24, 2010, 02:50:16 AM »
Hi there,

I'm currently having problems with forwarding ports and my BT Home Hub 2.0. I've tried to use the "Simple Port Forwarding" program from the main website but cannot forward the settings onto the router due to the following problem.

"You have received a NOT FOUND error from the webpage.

Please try the following steps to fix the issue.

1. Make sure the correct router is selected from the router list.
2. Make sure you have the correct router IP set in the main window.
3. Make sure you have the correct "HTTP Type" and "HTTP Port" to access the router set in the main window. (Default is HTTP:// & Port 80).

"

All of the settings from 1-3 match up with the correct settings so I'm guessing it's a problem with security blocking access?

When adding the App to the list for updating, I've got the following settings.

App Name: uTorrent
Forwarded To: 192.168.1.64 (ComputerNameHere)
Start Port: 29484
End Port:29484
TCP/UDP: TCP
Description: uTorrent

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

No problem

Lets check a few things.
When you try to update the router, when it hits step one, do you see any web page load? Or are you getting the not found error on step 1?

Another trick to try is to remove the username and password from the program and try updating the router again.

It is always possible they released a new firmware and changed the pages on me. So I may need to update the script. But lets try the first two things and see how it goes.

Let me know
