Network use
« on: March 20, 2010, 05:04:58 PM »
Hi, really like the program and am considering ordering enough for my whole network, (do you have a family price?), anyway I wanted to know if the program will talk to other installs on the network and show me a total bandwidth usage? I didn't want to go to each computer and server and add up the usage manually. If that's not a feature, will it possibly be? Also could you set it for a predefined limit for the whole network and have it stop internet traffic at all computers if that limit is reached, of course there would be an override that you would use at your own peril, lol.

Thanks,
Chance

The program does have a remote viewer which allows you to view the totals of the computers from 1 location. I can also always improve that as well. Also the program does have alerts you can setup to email you or let the user know when a quota has been reached. The only way the program could stop the internet would be to disable the network card. But im not sure if that is the best idea lol.

Dont really have a family price, how many pc's do you have?

I have 4 computers now and possibly 3 more later. So how does the remote work and how do I access it?

Look in the start menu under the simple internet meter folder :-)

Also on the discount, I don't demanded money from users. This may be the only program I sell currently, but I would rather earn the money then demand it

I keep track of the keys that are bought, so as long as they are not released on the net you can use the same key as much as you like for your self only.

So yes you could only buy one key, I know times are tough and money is hard for a lot of people. So I wont lose sleep if you buy one key. Hopefully I made my program good enough for you so that you buy more than one key (If you can afford it)

Wow, the one place I didn't look. That's very nice, I was thinking a static image or report but I was nicely surprised by the constant real time update, very nicely done sir.
