i have been trying to follow your instruction step by step.

1st step :set up static ip
my modem ip address: 192.168.1.1 my router lan ip : 192.168.0.1

my problem comes when i set the dmz 192.168.0.1 in the modem pop up message tells that dmz ip address and ip address subnet must be the same.

so i change my router lan ip to :192.168.1.2
log in to wrt54g2
change ip to 192.168.1.2
pop up message save succesfuly close and or renew ip....
then i close the browser and un plug router (hard reset)
then log in to 192.168.1.2

it then that i do not have internet connection but only lan connection...
so for now i changed back to the old stteings..
What do i have to do...please help its already 4 days i cant connect to online relic....company of heroes.please help on this....tia

Sorry took me so long to reply, been taking care of my customers all day, leave it to a good power outage to mess things up lol.

On your router, don't set the ip to static in it, since no other computers or routers will get a IP from the modem it should just keep the IP it gets.
In the router go to the status page, find its WAN or Internet IP address. This is the IP you want to put into the DMZ of the modem.

Let me know if you still have trouble :-)

hi shane tnx for the reply.i forgot to tell you that i have two pc connected in the router.(if that helps)
if i change modem(b933 huawei)) ip address to 192.168.1.2 and router 192.168.1.1 i loose internet connection..
Checked other threads yesterday and they're telling that b933 huawei and linksys should not belong to the same subnet..there will be a nating problem..Is it true????
Because when i do so i do loose internet connection.
thats why for now im using 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1......
they also says bridging will help but i dont trust them cause they're threads is not complete..not like here in pcwintech.what should i do next

Dont change any IP's in the modem or router, no need to.
Just do this.

First, log into the linksys and go to this page
http://www.pcwintech.com/showimage?file=files/screenshots/Linksys-WRT54G_v8/021.png

See the IP address on yours? Write it down.

Now log into the b933 and go to the dmz page. (I attached the screen)
Put DMZ status to enable then for DMZ IP put the ip you wrote down.
Now Click apply.

Thats it!  :cheesy:

If I am reading your post right your getting lost on the LAN ip's and the WAN ip's. So just do as I said here. What this does is tells the b933 to send all connections to that IP. That IP is the IP the linksys got from the b933. Now just setup the port forwarding rules in the linksys and you no longer need to worry about the b933
